About Me

I'm a Computer Science student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with a passion for cybersecurity, working toward a career in offensive security. Most of my time outside class goes into breaking into vulnerable machines, focusing on enumeration, web exploitation, and privilege escalation, then turning each one into a writeup I share publicly.

This fall I'll join Cybersecurity UW as CTF Lead, where I'll help create CTF challenges and host them during club meetings, and help lead certification study groups for students pursuing industry certifications.

Day-to-day, I practice on Hack The Box while working toward the HTB CPTS. I hold the Security+, CySA+, and GFACT certifications, and compete regularly in CTFs, most recently placing 7th at UW-Stout's Cyber CTF.

In my free time, I repair electronics for fun: deep cleaning devices, diagnosing faults, finding the root cause, and doing board-level soldering work like HDMI port replacements.

Projects

RFID Access Lab

Completed

Hands-on view of physical access control with an RC522 RFID reader/writer on a Raspberry Pi Pico 2W. Focused on UID cloning as a weakness in low-security badge systems that rely on an unencrypted UID instead of cryptographic authentication. Full cloning wasn’t possible against as many cards use encrypted sectors that block naive read/write attacks, but the lab was a practical intro to RFID/NFC protocols and why UID-only auth is weak. It also made clear the gap between vulnerable legacy cards and modern encrypted ones, which matters in real physical security assessments.

Pi-hole Network Filtering

Completed

Network-wide DNS sinkhole on a Raspberry Pi, set up to protect the household, especially family more likely to hit phishing links or malicious ads by blocking ad and tracking domains before they reach any device.

Study of operating system architecture, process synchronization, concurrency, and thread management. Covers memory management, process scheduling, and virtualization.

MATH 435 - Cryptography

Study of cryptographic concepts such as ciphers, hash functions. Concepts include perfect secrecy, digital signatures, and hardness assumptions.

COMP SCI 400 - Programming II

Implementation of data structures (Graphs, Hash Tables, Red-Black Trees). Covers Git version control, JUnit testing, and JavaFX UI development.
